Fit With Sherry is total body wellness. Not only do we work on the physical but also the mental and spiritual. Fitness is about the totality of the person and giving the guidance and teaching to take it one step at a time with the encouragement and push needed at the right times.
Seeing a client make those small steps to their bigger goals is rewarding but the biggest enjoyment is the confidence I see my clients gain as they accomplish those steps.
Sherry is fun! She was able to adapt my workout to where I was. She pushed me without me realizing it. She got me to do things I never thought I could.
She's very personable and non judgemental. Also, she knows how to push you in a gentle but, challenging way at the same time.
Sherry is extremely knowledgeable and is very good at what she does. She has helped to lead me on a happy healthy path and I could not be more pleased with the results!
The answer to that question depends on the goals of the individual but I will always make sure there are clear goals so I know how to plan the program for the individual.
My education is through experience and books. ISSA is the school with which I hold a certificate as a Certified Fitness Trainer and Specialist in Fitness Nutrition. My CPR/AED certification is through National Health Care Provider Solutions and my boxing training comes from Coach Luis Melendez and Caoch Nelson Perez.
Pricing is according to ages 17 and younger and 18 and over. Prices are per session for personal training or per month for boxing basics.
I started my journey as a trainer because of my passion to teach what I already knew to a couple friends who in turn asked me why am I not a personal trainer and one of which who sent me information on a school for the certification. The boxing training was due to my love of the sport and being in training and seeing my coaches training young kids not only in the ring but also in life and as soon as I passed my certification I told my Coach, Luis, and he asked me if I wanted to train the guys. I said sure and right there on the spot was my first training session and it was a great feeling!
My students have ranged in age from a 14 year old baseball player who needed more flexibility to a 60 and 70 year old who neede quality of life. I have trained 12, 13 and 36 year olds in boxing basics, a 27 year old in weight training for his wedding day and a 25 year old for weight loss!
The Backyard Vendor Fair! This is my 3rd year hosting in my back yard. I love putting it together and seeing all the vendors supporting each other! Last year there were about 30 vendors including a DJ, food vendor and photographer!
You must be committed to obtaining your goals no matter the cost. You get what you pay for in all aspects of life. Your health is no different. You can't take short cuts. If you are a short cut kind of person you need to work on your thought process before beginning an exercise program.
One question would be their why. Why are they doing this? Who is it for? You have a strong why and you will push through if you don't, you won't.
