I am a former Navy SEAL who has personally trained people for over 10 years. I am a brown belt in Brazilian jiu jitsu, train Dutch kickboxing, Muay Thai and MMA.

I also train in triathlon & have completed a full Ironman.

I have taught krav combatives, outdoor survival and situational awareness under Brian Rauchbach at Elite Training Center in Redondo Beach.

If you are looking to get fit, I can get you there with weights, kettlebell or strictly bodyweight excercises. Tell me your goals and I will work with you towards acheiving them.

For martial arts instruction, let me know your level and what you'd like to acheive. To the best of my knowledge, I will train you with techniques, that i know are effective and are easily retainable.

    Patrick is a beast of a trainer and fun to be around. He built out an 8-week kickstart program that helped me get into the swing of working out, which was key given my former sedentary life. He was confident in me (even though I wasnt, haha) and had a plan for me on day one. The great thing about him is that he takes the time to explain things and puts you at ease right away. And hes really funny. I feel more confident, healthier and happier in general since training with Patrick.
    As a HUGE bonus, Patrick also taught me practical self-defense. As a woman in LA, I am really grateful to feel safer walking my dog at night. I know Im not going to take down a big dude if theres a confrontation, but I feel like I can definitely buy myself time to get away. He taught me some pretty genius maneuvers. I would recommend him to anyone, so much so that I made my sister also take self defense with him.

    Patrick is an extremely knowledgeable and well rounded instructor. Whether it’s Grappling, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Thai style striking or a mix of all three that you’re after, he’s definitely got you covered. In addition, another key component that separates him from so many other instructors, is his ability to teach you techniques that can and will work, not only on the mat, but in a real world “street” scenario as well. He’s great at explaining things in a way that makes it easy for me to grasp. Also, he has a sharp eye and is able to pick up on and iron out weaknesses that I may have.
    Patrick is a professional, and whenever I have a training session with him, where we may be working on more advanced techniques, I can be confident that I will come out of that session injury free.
    I would absolutely recommend Patrick to anyone from beginner to advanced levels.

    Frequently asked questions

    I listen to what your looking for. If it's self defense skills, I will include situational awareness & how to present one's self so your not seen as a target.

         If your looking for looking to learn jiu jitsu, or kickboxing, you'll learn techniques and then practice applying them, first with a compliant training partner, then gradually build towards working those skills on someone who is non compliant.

        However, for both self defense & sport fighting, I recommend honing strong fundamentals with strikes, grappling and body movement. 

         If your goals are more about fitness, I'll give proven workouts and correct body mechanics, so you see maximum results & avoid injuries.

    After you do this stuff for a while, people start asking you questions about it, then they offer to pay you for your time.

    Consistency is key. Work with a teacher you trust & who you can see regularly.

    The more specific you are, the easier it will be for me to help you achieve your goals.  If you are completely green & it all seems distant to you, tell me that, it's not a problem. We'll start from the beginning and build a solid foundation.
