Derek is a certified onnit academy trainer, strength coach and former head coach/owner of Strength Camp GNV. When he’s not in the gym lifting, he’s spending time with family, hiking in nature foraging plants and fungi, , fishing, hunting, biking, rollerblading, cooking, or watching the sun rise and set.
Beyond just weight loss and building muscle, Derek wants to help you focus on overall full-body strength to increase longevity and vitality in your overall life. Derek’s goal is to help clients be the strongest version of themselves that’s sustainable and fulfilling, whether that’s through a combination of strength training, body building, mobility, or conditioning; Derek will help you reach your specific individual goals.
Better Posture, Performance, and Longevity I always begin our training phases and daily routines with a healthy dose of joint mobility, flexibility and various dynamic warm-ups. This allows us to address any joint immobility or muscle imbalances you may unknowingly have. A specialized dynamic warm-up always precedes our vigorous workouts.
Stronger Core, Lean Muscle and Functional Strength Whether your goal is to burn fat, build muscular shoulders, or slam dunk a basketball, you will need to get stronger. More strength means that you’ll have a firmer, more shapely and vibrant body. You’ll have a body that can overcome any physical force, and looks great to-boot.
