Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Every person that works with me will undergo an initial evaluation. During this evaluation we will review health and injury history, esstablish goals, asses movement patterns, and nutritional habits. The purpose of the evaluation is to give me (the trainer) direction in your programing. A road map to acheiving your goals. Once this evaluation has been completed we can begin training with clear direction.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been envolved in the health, fitness, and performance industry since 2001. Most of my experience has been spent in college athletics working as a Strength and Conditioning Coach for various sports such as Volleyball, Baseball, Softball, Tennis, and Golf. My last Coaching stent was at the University of North Florida where I spent 6 years as their Head Strength and Conditioning Coach. After leaving UNF I had the opportunity to work with the PGA tour as part of its corporate wellness team before going out on my own to create Foundations. I currently hold a Masters Degree in Exercise Science from the University of South Alabama (since 2006) and am a Certified Strength and Conditioning Speacilist through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (since 2005). Additionally, I am a practicing Registered Dietitian.
