Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
First and foremost introduce myself, and let the client know of my past experiences on my fitness journey. After hearing said clients current state in their fitness journey, asking what he or she's goals are from my expertise.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been training for years myself, and been helping others since 2012. I loved helping others so much I decided to become certified in 2015 and after months of thoroughly studying every detail, I became certified at the beginning of 2016. I am a Certified Personal Trainer as well as a Certified Specialist in Fitness Nutrition.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Prices vary on how many days a week the client wants to train.
How did you get started teaching?
I started off just wanting to get rid of my fat, I was definitely overweight and couldn't deny it anymore. I then became much too skinny, once I noticed I decided to become fit. I enjoyed strength training and muscle building a lot, and once I saw significant results, people asked me how I did it. I helped others for years before deciding to turn it into a career choice. I was also hungry for knowledge studying every detail, every page, because I wanted to actually learn something from my certifications and not just rush through it. The attention to detail I wanted to set me apart from other trainers, and I knew it would also help me on my personal fitness journey.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with all types of clients, from skinny to overweight, to sedentary clients to pro athletes. I have been able to relate to many, because I have been there and know what it takes.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Start with the small things. Water instead of soda, brown rice instead of white rice, whole wheat instead of white bread. It is all about being consistent.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
What are my goals, and how serious am I about reaching said goals?
