Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Client Introduction: This includes an in-person or phone meeting to discuss their goals, medical history, training experience, etc. As well as allow the client to ask questions about myself, my training program and how I can best support their needs.
Client Assessment: Next a movement assessment is scheduled. This assessment will demonstrate any muscle dysfunction that may be present. This information is important as it will be used to develop a truly individualized training program for the client.
Trainng Program Designed: I develop the client's training program and then schedule a phone, video, or in-person meeting to discuss the program with them and answer any questions they might have.
Training Program Begins: Client begins their individualized training program.
Mid-program Assessment: This is a "constantly assessed" concept. I use an active coaching method which involves continuous cueing and instruction so that the client is safely performing exercises and receiving the maximum benefit from each session.
Training Program Concludes: At the end of the training program a meeting is scheduled to review the client's goals, discuss their successes, evaluate new goals and decide on the next step in their health and fitness journey. Many clients continue their private training sessions, and others opt to join either our montly training programs or our online mobile coaching app.

In 2008 I was placed in charge of researching and implementing, a training program to prepare my infantry company for our upcoming deployment to Afghanistan.
