Coach Raul Ortega was born and raised in New Jersey. Currently running the NJ Wildcats Organization. The love and devotion he has for the game is shown through his work. Having started Lab Sports in 2022, playing at a high level of college baseball, and playing at the professional level, Ortega strives to make every player he comes across better than he ever was. Coach Ortega's commitment to his players extends beyond the field, as he seeks to instill values of discipline, teamwork, and perseverance in every athlete he mentors. Through his guidance and support, he aims to empower players to reach their full potential and achieve success both on and off the field.

Coach Raul is very knowledgeable and great with kids. The drills he runs build the fundamental skills needed in a progressive approach so that when a player puts it all together they are surprised and a little amazed to find out what it was leading to - explosive performance. He also knows just the right amount to push and challenge my son and he built a wonderful rapport with him. All season long every time my son had a good hit or made a good play, he made sure to ask me to let Coach know how he is doing. Coach Raul has definitely earned the respect and admiration of both my son and myself. We look forward to working with Coach over the off-season to prepare for next Spring.
