Yoga Under Maple
About
Personalized yoga instuction focusing on strength and flexibility. I understand that every body is different, and what works for one person may not work for another. Being adaptive and able to modify the yoga practice to the person is what a good yoga teacher should do.
Yoga has helped me through quite a lot of physical and emotional issues. I want to share the benefits that yoga can give with others.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
The first session may run a little longer than an hour as we get to know each other, your goals, and any health issues that you may have. We'll discuss where you are now, and where you want to be, and how yoga can help.
I'll follow your movement, look at your posture from all sides, and we'll decide together what is best for you.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been a certified 500 hour yoga teacher since April 2021. I am always continuing my education through workshops and trainings. My primary focus is on anatomy, strength, and posture for my continuing education. I have also completed Thai Yoga Massage training, Mindful Strength training, and a Yin Yoga certification.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Pricing will be considered on a case by case basis. I will need to consider the travel time and agreed upon time of the lesson.
How did you get started teaching?
Actually, I never intended to teach yoga. I went through teacher training just to learn more about yoga - the philosophies, the asanas - to live a more yogic life.
Once I taught a few required practices, I really enjoyed teaching and sharing what I've learned.
What types of students have you worked with?
I've worked with all ages, all backgrounds, all levels.
I've worked with hyper flexible people, as well as some with joint replacements.
Yoga is truly for every body . . .
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Make sure your goals can be met with the teacher you are considering working with.
