Specializing work: Catching, Infield/Outfield
Hi my name is Tom Corkery and I have been surrounded by baseball my entire life. I was primarily a catcher and middle infielder. During my baseball career I played all over the diamond and now have the ability to professional develop athletes at all infield/outfield positions.I began my competitive baseball career in San Juan Capistrano, CA where I played for Jserra High School. I went on to play for Baseball Performance Academy, where I learned from ex major league/D1 collegiate athletes. I continued my career at Orange Coast College. While playing for Orange Coast College I had to honor of taking on a larger role at "BPA" of full team training, specialized infield/outfield explosive work, and indepth catching lessons. I began training baseball players ranging from 8u to minor league athletes during this time period. After much consideration I decided to pursue my academic career at TCU, where I recieved my bachelors degree. My baseball journey has given me the necessary insight to properly guide athletes to their fullest potiential while preparing them for the Division 1 Collegiate transition,

Frequently asked questions
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been training baseball players on the field and in the weight room for four years. With my baseball experience I have the ability to training athletes in all aspects of the game. Being recently an ex collegiate athletes I have the knowledge to prepare players for all different skill levels of baseball.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
My current process involves a player evaluation, work ethic, and targeting areas of concern. After a full understanding of current skill level, I procceed to focus on the building blocks of specific movement and what is holding back an athlete from reaching the next level. As a catcher and instructor of all ages I have a good understanding of specific flaws with drills that I/my players personally used to correct unnecessary movement.
How did you get started teaching?
I started my coaching career at Baseball Performance Academy in San Juan Capistrano. "BPA" is a nationally ranked travel ball academy that connects athletes with colleges/major league scouts across the nation.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with players from all different skill levels. I have had the pleasure of work with Minor League Baseball Players, College Athletes, and all younger division travel ball teams.
