What is your typical process for working with a new student?

We begin our meeting with a consultation to review your health history, and goals. This is followed by a Functional Movement Screen and discussion of results. Once the consultation is complete we have a great idea of how we can best serve you and at this point we discuss a plan of action.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I hold a B.S. in Exercise Science from Virginia Commonwealth University. I am a certified personal trainer through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA). I hold a Level 2 Functional Movement Screen certification as well as a USAW Level 1 Sports Performance Coach certification.

Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.

We offer multiple training packages with different pricing structures depending on the client’s needs.

How did you get started teaching?

I began my work in commercial fitness while attending college and have been working in the fitness field for over 20 years.

What types of students have you worked with?

I've worked with clients with a wide range of needs and goals. Weight loss, strength improvement, sports performance, post rehab, event training (running events, mudders, cycling).

What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?

Meet the trainer and discuss your goals and needs. Ask about their qualifications and experience. Make sure it's a good fit with personality and your needs.
