Strength Wise Barbell
About
I'm a nutritionist and strength coach who focuses on driving performance in all phases of life. Combining healthy eating with weight lifting has the potential to provide significantly more function, whether you're an athlete, a parent, or a busy professional.
I emphasize mindful nutrition as my core practice. This teaches you how to create a more intentional relationship with food, depending on your goals. For most people, that means becoming attuned to your body's internal hunger and fullness cues, and then using those signals to achieve specific goals such as weight loss. Mindful eating works equally well even in competitive contexts, whether endurance athletes seeking sustained energy or powerlifters adding healthy weight.
Strength training is adapted to the individual, and ranges from bodyweight movements to compound barbell movements. Programs are customized based on experience, interest, and access to equipment.
Reach out today to find out how to become stronger than you ever thought possible.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I always start with an exploratory call to understand the mindset of each person. For those who may be exploring nutrition or strength training for the first time, I'll work to create a positive first experience. If seasoned lifters come my way, I may conduct a longer assessment to determine training history, injuries, competition, etc.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I'm a pn1 certified nutritionist and competitive powerlifter with the USPA.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
My standard rate is $120/hour or $275 for a fixed monthly program, but I customize prices based on the services an individual will need.
How did you get started teaching?
I began my training my friends and family for fun, and realized I wanted to share my system more broadly.
What types of students have you worked with?
Just about everyone. I have the most experience working with working professionals with kids and finding ways to add functional strength and nutrition into their busy schedules.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I have a client that recently bench pressed his bodyweight pain-free after years of not training due to his belief that his shoulders were beyond repair.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
It's all about meshing with the personality of the coach.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
I actually don't think that's too important - reach out sooner so you can have a conversation that will inform your decision.
