GRIT Miami
About
As a former athlete and fitness professional of over 15 years, there doesn't seem to be a goal of a client's that I have not dealt and helped with. Considering that I have worked in so many different environments and clientele, what separates me from the rest is my creativity and my dedication in helping someone reach their desired goals. Your goals become my goals. I take on clients and quickly take them on as a personal challenge to make sure that I'm professionally, physically and emotionally invested in their success. Everybody is different, and my ability to adapt my techniques to fit their desired goals and path help me be very successful with such a diverse client pool. I've worked with athletes, non-athletes, people of all ages, individual and groups. As stated before, my experiences definitely set me apart from the rest of the trainer in Miami.
To be successful in a trade, you must enjoy it and invest yourself in it. I obviously enjoy helping and teaching others. It's truly my passion. I was a high school teacher of science for 10 years. Working with kids and seeing them excited to learn about a new topic fueled my passion. Fitness training is the exact same with everyone I have worked with. Whether it's helping someone reach a goal or learn a new skill, the excitement is shared by both my client and myself. When I train someone or a group, we are a team and we succeed or fail together. In most cases we see the positivity in everything we do and the path we take, therefore the relationships built over time and the end results are what satisfy and fuel my passion for the fitness industry.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Whenever meeting with someone new, I understand that the experience is the same on both ends. I am trying to get to know them, as they are getting to know me. There is a lot of questioning, asking to perform simple activities and learning what they are not only capable of performing, but what they also enjoy doing. They get to know my teaching styles and communication delivery. Building a good repoir takes time, but one thing they always realize from the first meeting is that I CARE ABOUT AND WILL TAKE CARE OF THEM. I start slow and then pick up the pace depending on them. We start by building comfort with each other, then build on fitness.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Bachelor's Degree in Science from the University of Miami. I have had several certifications ranging from NASF, Crossfit, Sport Specific and Nutrition. At the moment I have a Personal Training Certification from the National Council of Strength and Conditioning, along with a certification from NCSF as a Nutrition Coach.
