National certifications with American College of Sports Medicine (Certified Exercise Physiologist), American Council on Exercise (Medical Exercise Specialist), and National Academy of Sports Medicine (Certified Personal Trainer; Corrective Exercise Specialist), and certificates for Senior Fitness and Sports Nutrition.
Have a 4th degree black belt in Taekwondo and continue with semi-annual re-certification. I also have training in Judo, Jiu Jitsu, and limmited training in Krav Maga.
Ph.D. in counseling with a minor in psychology - not a therapist, but a life/health coach and co-strategist.
I train my clients in their homes, or if preferred and convenient, outdoors. Pricing varies with the nature and duration of the program; the initial interview is at no fee and allows you and me to determine if I am the best person to help you achieve your goals.
Below are the three training/coaching options. You determine which plan is most relevant to your schedule, your goals, and is most cost-effective. Payment is by check, PayPal, or credit/debit card.
Option 1: A 6-month specialized training program for weight-loss, or disease mitigation/reversal--i.e., type 2 diabetes or coronary artery disease--consists of 12 sessions the 1st month; 8 sessions the 2nd month; 4 sessions the 3rd month, followed by weekly coaching for months 4, 5, and 6). The total cost for six months of coaching/training is $2,280 and includes assessments, training/coaching, and a host of educational resources.
Option 2: The Health/Performance Management month-to-month program addresses one or more of a wide range of goals and includes initial and ongoing assessments, training/coaching and related educational resources. The total cost/month is $1,000 ($83.33/session), for a maximum of 12 sessions/month.
Option 3: The fee for coaching/training sessions scheduled individually, apart from the specialized or health/performance management options is $125/hour.

I serve adults who are challenged by some form of a challenge--physical (e.g., post-rehabilitation of an injury, joint replacement; postural and muscle imbalances); or cognitive (e.g., ALS, MS, Parkinson's, Alzheimer's).
I help older adults avoid loss of independence, or recover their independence--not to merely "age-in-place," by avoiding moving to a nursing or assisted-living community, but to "thrive-in-place," continuing to be at their best physically and cognitively at home.
