About

'm a trainer, coach, friend, motivator, and, more importantly, I'm your teammate. That means I'm here for you. I believe there is no one-size-fits-all solution to fitness and everyone should be able to learn and progress at their own pace. At Beyond Human Fitness, my personal training expertise will help you reach your goals—and then go Beyond them. I have been a Certified Personal Trainer/Coach since 1990. I have worked with children, the elderly, vets, and the disabled.

I have certifications from NASM and NCCPT and include, CPT, Group X, Zumba, CN (Certified Nutritionist), WFS (Women Fitness Specialist) and, LCSS (Lower Cross Syndrome Specialist).

Our health is the most important possession we own, without it our career, family and social life no longer function. Activities you once enjoyed are no longer available to you, either through an inability to participate, or a lack of confidence to take part.

WHY BHF’S PERSONAL FITNESS TRAINING LEAVES THE COMPETITION ‘KNOCKED OUT COLD’ *

At BHF I'm not just talking about rippling muscles and six-packs, I'm talking about a ‘normal’ body fat to lean muscle ratio and a healthy body image. My comprehensive packages also give you the one-to-one time you need to work on aches and pains. My step-by-step coaching gives you everything you need to know to immediately change*. I offer little-known techniques gained via years of experience, education and hundreds of clients. You want to get there quickly, with no fuss – I have the track record to prove it can be done.*

What we liked most about Beyond Human Fitness was that upon signing up at the gym, (LA Fitness), John Parish was assigned to us, as our personal trainer. He immediately emailed us our meal plans, our work outs and our calorie intakes. He showed us how to keep monotoring our macros, in order to reach our goals. John is passionate, responsible, dedicated, and a great motivating partner. His passion and enthusiasm; is what drove us to persevere and endure during the 6 months of our intensive training sessions. Today we continue living a lifestyle of healthy eating, doing physical workouts and training at the gym. Thanks to Beyond Human Fitness, we have reached our goals and we strive to become better.

John Parrish has been an amazing fitness coach, taking me from a habitual couch potato to an OCR junkie with rattling speed. His dedication to teaching proper form and technique as well as ensuring that I understand how to improve my overall health has truly been valuable beyond words. I was initially very intimated to start a workout routine after so many years of a sedentary lifestyle, but John always gave clear, step by step instructions to ensure that I was comfortable with everything before we started. While making sure that I was always pushing myself to get better, John has never asked me to lift something that was too heavy or to do something that I was not ready for; workouts with him are never driven by ego. If you are looking for someone to help you reach your fitness goals methodically, clearly, and most important, safely, you could not be in better hands than with John Parrish and Beyond Human Fitness.

John works with you on a personal level and when you think you have no more in the tank he pushed you further so you may reach your goals. He’s not like these other trainers that care about money and put you on a bs plan so you never hit your goals he really does care for his clients and I love that

Frequently asked questions

The first step is meet\greet (assessment). This is the most important, it is to determine whether we're a good fit or not. At that time we discuss goals, objectives in REAL terms. We take a few measurements to determine BF%, lean mass, BMI-BMR, correct calories.

We set time, date, and location.

Certified through NASM, NCCPT, Red Cross (CPR/AED), Continuing edcation.2 years college of science (Anatomy, Kinesiology, exercise physiology and nutrition). 30+years of experience.

$60/session (session = 45min-60min). Sessions are bought in groups of 6, paid upfront  (Visa, square, Cashapp, Venmo, Zelle, and of course cash) Once we start the next set of the session will be due on the 5th session)

I'm a vet I started my instruction in 1986 U.S. Military. When I came home it was a passion.

I have worked with 8yr. olds - to 75. Disabled, vets, women, women in pregnancy.

Several ladies who are in my group class for several years joined us as a Team and ran not 1 Spartan type race but 3. They completed with no injuries, so much fun. They never thought that they would ever do it. 1 lady is 47 the other 53. They had some knee and flexibility issues when they started, but now they have more confidence, stamina, flexibility, and mobility than ever before.

Prepared several of my now Athletes in Bodybuilding to compete at there best condition ever and win. Each process is 12 weeks. From training, nutrition, posing to actual walking on the stage.

1. Make sure you meet them and you have a connection

2. Make sure they are listening to you and your goals and objectives

3. Make sure they are self-insured and qualified

4. Don't be afraid to ask questions

1. The WHY. Why are they embarking on this journey

2. Commitment (do they have it)

3. Realistic expectations
