Ive been involved in Taekwondo for over 36 years. Ive run my own school for over 20 years. I was a sponsored Athlete for the UPS Olympic sponsorship program for the Sport of Tae Kwon Do from 1996 to 2004. As part of sponsorship they used an image of me kicking on over 65 million delivery envelopes worldwide! I have done numerous interviews on Univision, Telemundo, NBC Sports Radio in Chicago and Cable Channel 25 .Ive been training in Tae Kwon Do for over 30years now! I run and own my own Tae Kwon Do School in Logan square! Ultimate Kicks Martial Arts And Fitness! Where I am offering Olympic Tae Kwon Do and  Crossfit Classes!

I was a 3x (97,98,01) U.S.T.U. Illinois State Heavy Weight Champion. 1996 U.S.T.U. National Bronze Medalist, 1996 U.S.T.U. Team Trials 1998 U.S.T.U. Olympic Weight Class Trials, Quarterfinalist,   1998 Pamplona Spain Invitational , Gold Medalist as part of the C.A.T.S Team. 1998 Indy Open ,Silver Medalist.  1999  Pan Am Cup Gold Medalist,  2001 A.A.U. Illinois State Gold Medalist ,  2001 FTPR, Puerto Rico Team Trials, Second place,   2003 AAU National Bronze Medalist, 2003 F.T.P.R. Puerto Rico Pan Am/ Olympic team selections, second place. (2001- 2006)  A.A.U Mens National Tae kwon do Team Coach!!

I try to work with each individuals unique personal level of physical and mental capabilty.


What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I'm a 5th Degree Blackbelt with the World Taekwondo Federation. Over 36 years in training. I was a High level Competitive athlete from 92 to 2006. Sponsored Athlete for UPS Olympic Sponsorship program.

How did you get started teaching?

Coming toward the end of a successful and fulfilling competitive career. It wasn't hard to fall into teaching mode. I really enjoy it.

All types from the novice, to very well experienced . I have also worked with special needs children.

Most recent competition . Gratifying to see improvements regardless of how small.


What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?

Research their credentials, background, accomplishments, experience. 


What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?

Have Realistic expectations toward achieving their goals and most importantly practice patience.
