Mike cares about your overall health and well being. He finds the right workout for your and helps you build toward a stronger, healthier body. I have been training with Mike for over 15 years. I could not have gone on hiking trips to the national parks without training from Mike. He is the best!

Mike is a terrific trainer! He was highly recommended by my physical therapist. I came to work with him recently after spending the past year recovering from a difficult total shoulder replacement and subsequent stress fracture in the affected shoulder. I spent 9 weeks in a sling, resulting in significant loss of muscle strength. In the 8 weeks we have worked together, he has improved the condition and strength of my shoulder as well as helping increase my overall strength and endurance. Since I have worked with him, I have gone from not being able to lift my arm over my head to being able to press a 3 lb weight. This may sound wimpy, but to go from not being able to move your arm to being able to press even a small weight is very exciting. I haven't made it easy on him. He has developed a program that works for me despite me being a 70 yr old woman, that not only had the shoulder replaced, but has also had both hips replaced, one knee replaced, and back fusion surgery all within the past 9 years. Mike is the most knowledgeable trainer I have ever met, clearly unafraid to take on a challenge.

FAQs

What is your typical process for working with a new student?

I will typically start with an evalution & physical assestment of the client's history to determine if client has any past injuries, this allows me to create a training program specific to their needs & abilities.

I have received mutiple certifications through the International Sports & Sciences Assoc. (ISSA).  I was an NCAA scholarship athlete & have worked with many amatuer & professional athletes as well as many special poplulation clients for over 20 years.

Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.

I typically charge a monthly fee that is determined by the number of sessions of trainings per week.

How did you get started teaching?

I have been an athlete my entire life & have always been passionate about training, nutrition & helping others.

What types of students have you worked with?

In the past 20 years I have worked with people of all abilities, both men, women & children, from athletes to non-athletes & every type in between.

What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?

Make sure that the trainer is experienced & knowledgeable in the kinetic movement of the body to provide a learning experience that allows proper mechanical movements to create a strong athletic & mobile body.  Make sure that they are also looking out for the most important thing...your safety & well being at all times.
