Helping Hands Gym provides Physical, Adaptive, and Cognitive fitness programs exclusive to individuals from 5-years of age through adulthood and their families that are faced with Autism & Developmental Special Needs.

The number of families who are facing autism or a variety of developmental special needs is on the rise and has resulted in the immediate need for an alternative health and fitness solution that is available exclusively to the Autism and Special Needs Community. This specialized area of fitness is virtually unexplored and has created a significant demand for programs that are inviting, caring, and effective. Unlike mainstream fitness and activity centers, Helping Hands Gym is exclusive to the population who are dealing with Autism Spectrum Disorder & Developmental Special Needs within their family. Understandably, mainstream fitness centers are not adequately structured or staffed to assess individuals with special behavioral and physical needs characteristic of Autism, ADD, ADHD, Asperger, or Down Syndrome and therefore cannot provide the appropriate specialized instruction necessary for this community of Special Needs individuals.

Helping Hands Gym Provides . . .

Individualized Assessment and Fitness Programming based on the Physical, Adaptive and Cognitive needs of members diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder and other Developmental Special Needs.

Members with improved physical fitness levels, confidence and social skills regardless of ability, strength, age, or gender.

Strategies that improves the health & fitness lifestyle of the entire family while creating communication, interaction and shared interest between all family members.

Positive impact on social awareness of Autism Spectrum Disorder & Developmental Special Needs in our community.

As a personal and group fitness coach, I am amazed to see my athletes and their families strengthen both fitness and socialzation skills together. It's incredible to receive so much personal fulfillment by participating and witnessing how people can build self confidence and self management of their routine. I am very proud to play a small part in their success.

"As a parent of a child on the autism spectrum, I was driven both emotionally and spiritually to make a difference socially if not only for my family but also for those families who find themselves withdrawing into walls of their home simply due to a lack of alternative social venue supportive of the autistic individual(s) and the family unit as a whole".
