Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
The first 2 weeks is spent working on flexibility and movement. I focus on a lot of body weight and resistance band exercises that help build a base. Once I feel like they are ready I start incorporating weights focusing on the 3 basic olympic lifts as well as circuits that help build the various muscles used both in the lifts as well as those used in stabilization. After 4 weeks of building a solid base I then start focusing on the strength increases.
For sports specific training I start with the basic fundamentals. I begin progressing as the athlete shows mastery in the skills.
