I obtained my mat certification through Balanced Body University in 2009, and have been teaching pilates since 2008. I have a fitness/dance background, and love to blend modalities, including natural movement principles, with pilates exercises. My intention is to assist people in discovering their own relationship to movement, find their inner strength, and help restore the body to it's own natural balance. Through my pilates practice, I have healed my own body and assisted others in their healing.
I primarily teach in group settings, and love the sense of community which builds over time. Having fun is an essential part of the process, allowing there to be ease in the body/mind/spirit connection. Using the foam roller and small balls for myofascial release has been most beneficial in the healing part of my work.
