I am the mother of three children with a very busy life running them around to all of their activities. Several years ago I knew I needed to start exercising and doing something good for myself. I joined a local gym where I met my current trainer Jeff Gardner. Having never been encouraged as a child to exercise I was reluctant to join a gym not to mention hire a trainer.
I quickly became comfortable with Jeff’s easy demeanor and encouraging approach to my potential abilities. Within a very short time I realized I truly liked working out as I became stronger and more fit.
Working out has become a way of life for me and I routinely lift weights, run and cycle on the local bike trail near my house.

Many days I spend 8-10 hours in front of the computer, editing and designing books. Exercise was not on my “fun” list, but neither was gaining 15 pounds and struggling to pick up a case of water or a bag of cat food. Jeff has helped me get excited about working out—and encouraged me to try new things. He really believes in his clients. So far I’m down the first 5 pounds and feel noticeably stronger… I’ve even started enjoying the exercise and that’s what finally helped me start to believe in myself.

I am a young 79 years old retired Navy Captain and Aviator. I currently run a fly fishing school on the Gunpowder River. Several years ago I realized staying in shape was critical to safely instruct my students. Wading and walking the rivers in strong current requires strength, stamina and balance.
Several years ago I met Jeff at a local gym and hired him as a trainer. Even though he keeps my age in mind he never cuts me any slack believing I can always do more that I think I can. He has been a great help and mentor in regaining my physical stamina and getting my weight under control. With his help and guidance I have lost nearly 40 pounds and greatly improved my strength and balance which is critical for safely wading.
