About this pro

It is my D.E.S.I.R.E. to help athletes reach their full potential, and the next level. As well as to assist those that are wanting to improve their overall health and fitness. Coaching and training is my passion.

I have coached multiple sports for the past 17 years at a local Dallas/Ft. Worth high school. I have coached numerous athletes that have received all district honors, and gone on to play football in college. One of which that was drafted to play in the NFL.

I enjoy helping individuals take their abilities to another level, and reach their goals. It is rewarding to see their progress and hear stories about their success.

My son started working with Coach Morris following his Junior year in high school. Already an athlete in varsity football and track, he needed to make some gains in speed and agility to get him to the next level. We saw marked improvements with footwork, 40yd speed and overall confidence in his abilities. He improved more than a full second on his recorded 40yd at college camps from June to July and was able to hit a pr 10'2" in a standing broad jump. There is no doubt in my mind the impact that Coach Morris made. We will continue training 2x monthly through football season and pre-track season. Best decision we've made by far! Thanks Robert!

Coach Morris is a great guy and coach. He worked with my eleven year old that needed some help with tackling and footwork for corner and receiver positions. He really instilled more confidence in him and coach is also great at teaching technique.

FAQs

What is your typical process for working with a new student?

The process begins with finding out the individual goals of the athlete. From there I determine if the goals are realistic, and the best course of action to achieve them. Then we work on scheduling, and discuss rates.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I have been coaching for 17 years, most of which have been at the high school level. I have a lot of knowledge in multiple sports. I was also a coach/trainer at Velocity Sports Performance for 2 years.

Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.

$70 for individual session, with the possibility of a discount for multiple sessions in the same week.

$50 per person for small group sessions

$30 per person for team sessions

How did you get started teaching?

I wanted to share my knowledge, and help young athletes with their development as student-athletes.

What types of students have you worked with?

I have worked with athletes ranging in age from 8 to adults, and of all abilitiy levels.

What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?

I suggest asking a lot of questions, and getting to know the individual and their reason for doing what they do. If it is all about the money, then that is a problem. If they do not have any previous playing experience, and coaching experience, that is also a problem.

What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?

They should know exactly what they are wanting to accomplish, and determine whether a particular coach can help them to reach their goals.
