About

All training is geared to the individual, establishing and reaching realistic attainable goals, nothing faddish. I focus on three things, regular exercise, proper nutrition and adequate rest. Fitness is a lifestyle.

I am a certified Master Fitness Specialist, and I focus on health, fitness, and wellness. Life is about how you perform daily and having enough energy to enjoy leisure activities. I enjoy helping people reach goals that they deem otherwise unreachable.

    Frequently asked questions

First, there is the initial meeting, and that is followed up with them filling out a physical activity readiness questionnaire. Once the questionnaire is completed I examine it and do a follow up with more questions. After the second round of questions, we set a time and date for a physical evaluation consisting of cardiovascular evaluation and high blood pressure, diabetes, and heart disease risk assessment, lower, abdominal, and upper body muscular strength and endurance testing, flexibility testing, body fat testing, and athletic ability testing if necessary

I attended UT Arlington in Kinesiology and I have both a fitness specialist and master fitness specialist certification from the Cooper Institute.

My pricing depends on the client and what is needed to meet their goals and the distance that I have to travel. Every person is different and unique with their own fitness level and ability to pay. Some people may require 3-5 sessions a week, while others may require only 1-2. There are discounts given to how many sessions are purchased at once.

It became part of my lifestyle and being in the military I used what I had learned to help my soldiers and that transferred over once I retired from the Army.

I have worked with people of various fitness levels, ages (8-95), with different medical issues (heart disease, diabetes, scoliosis, MS, fitness rehab, athletes, overweight, and inactive. If you are willing I can definitely work with you to help you achieve your goals.

I have been training all my clients long term, they may have life events that cause them to pause for a while but as soon as they start back we get right back in the routine and soon get them back to where they once were.

Sit down and listen to them to really see if they know how to get results, anyone can talk a good game and do not solely look at their credentials. Anyone can attend college and get a degree, but that person has to be able to relate to you as a person and understand your needs and what you are trying to achieve, and even then they have to be able to mesh with your personality. Be careful of those who are trying to sell you something or promote the use of supplements to help attain your goals.

Ask about their experience and their training philosophy, ask a lot of hypothetical questions.
