About
It's right there in my tagline.
TMPL Training...Personal Training with PURPOSE.
I take the time to help my clients understand fully, everything that the session entails and what my expectations are and also celebrate with them on a job well done.
I enjoy showing people that they CAN achieve their fitness goals. I enjoy helping them do so and ensuring that they are doing it in a safe and controled environment. I am a "form freak" My basis of training begins with making sure that form on all movements is executed correctly thus avoiding injury that leads to long down times. I enjoy seeing the smile of satisfaction on my clients faces when they finish a session. Helping my clients understand that there is nothing that they can't achieve, gives me the joy of training. 20 years and counting.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Finding their strengths and weaknesses FIRST and working from that point.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been in business now for 20 years. I have a number of certifications covering many modalities. Some of what I specialize in is weight management, strength and conditioning, competition prep, small groups, kids, seniors and everyone in between. Also bootcamps and nutrition.
I've worked many years with clients that have experienced cancer, heart attacks, strokes, etc. I have experience working with those clients closely, ensuring the clients safety while improving what ever circumstance they may be facing. I have extensive experience working with young children, beginning at the age of 6 years old. I was previously a competitive bodybuilder for 6 years and I also train clients for the competitive stage.

How did you get started teaching?
I've always been active from the time that I was 3 years old. It's something that I have been fortunate enough to say comes naturally...and the same goes for teaching. I was in corporate America for 12 years and decided that there has to be something better. I got into fitness and training and haven't looked back since.
What types of students have you worked with?
I've worked with kids ranging in age from 5 to 12 years old.
I've workded with teens from 13 to 19 years old.
Also work with adults and seniors. I've worked with clients that have survived heart attack, stroke, cancer, to name a few. I've worked with clients that have lost their sight, but not their vision.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
Training a client for her competition. Her starting weight was 278lbs and she got on stage at 180lbs.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
ASK QUESTIONS! ASK QUESTIONS! ASK QUESTIONS!
To many people feel that just because they've spoken with a trainer, that they have to use that trainer. Remember, YOU have the choice on who YOU want to train with.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Ask for certification details. Who are they certified by? Ask what they specialize in. Ask how long they've been training. Etc. Etc. Etc.
