Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I will typically start by finding out what a clients diet looks like even before we start a fitness program. I will then work with the client to determine what their immediate and long term needs are and come up with a program for both.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a full timecertified personal trainer by the American Fitness Professionals Association (AFPA) with over 15 years experience. I am also a certified nutrition consultant.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I charge by the hour but also offer 30 minute sessions. I have a home studio and I also travel to NY and Ct to private homes.
How did you get started teaching?
My best friend is a dietician and I got started working with her in her private business.
What types of students have you worked with?
I work with clients of all ages with different types of challenges, including children and the elderly.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Make sure to hire someone who is certified and has experience and knowledge. It is easy to get hurt short or long term if you are not taught appropriate habits.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Think about what your goals and objectives are and know what you are willing to do.
