"Three months ago, I contacted the local personal trainer community via Thumbtack with a loosely formed goal of achieving ... vanity. I am your usual customer wishing to "tone down". What I achieved in my three months with Mike is much more measurable. One exercise I was never able to achieve was running. While I had the interest, my endurance failed me. Since joining h.o.w., I can easily run over 2+ miles, which may not sound like much, but starting from zero to an easy 2 mile sprint is an achievement. I am now training toward a one leg squat. Try it, I dare you!"

Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.

I do monthly packages priced depending on sessions per week. Please call for breakdown.

How did you get started teaching?

I've been a martial artist since a very young age. The passion grew from there, getting involved in sports and weight lifting. Over the years I have acquired my own philosophy, which entails a system of Calisthenics done in a progressive manor.

What types of students have you worked with?

I have worked with clients ranging from Chronic Illnesses, weight loss, building lean muscle, those seeking overall health, to post and pre injury.

Describe a recent event you are fond of.

My client Maret who has Multiple Sclerosis. This is where the gratification comes in, really helping people.

She came to me with the hopes to walk better and regain some balance. We have gotten her to a point now where she does Triathlons, Spartan Races, Duathlons, and Mudders. After a few months she started to regain her balance and health, at that point we strictly started to train her for these events.

What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?

Make sure that they are certified from a creditable source.

Make sure he/she has good credentials and experience. That they truly care for people.
