I enjoy helping people reach thier goals. I enjoy watching people progress and get back what they put into it. I love what I do
He's selfless and cares about your personal goals. He makes sure that all his fighter's are well prepared and ready to go face challenges.
I have been taking private lessons with Billy for over 2 years focusing initially on striking, with some jiu jitsu, then progressing to feeling confident to take, so far, 2 amateur MMA fights. I am 45 years of age and been exposed to many excellent instructors in different occupational specialties. I rate Billy as an excellent instructor based off his fighter IQ from experience as a Professional MMA Fighter and his experience on the Ultimate Fighter, his ability to break that experience down into learning blocks and communicate them effectively to a novice fighter, and his level of maturity in always staying positive and professional when dealing with his students. I am confident fighters at any skill level would benefit from Billy's knowledge and experience!
Excellent coach. Really personalizes the workouts for each individual. Can’t go wrong without Billy Q!
I’ve had a few privates with Mr. Q and he is very detailed and intricate with his teaching. You can tell her cares and puts his 100% into everything he does by how he teaches. The little details matter in physical and martial art training. He makes sure every technique is to the tee for your own personal growth. I am happy to have his guidance in my athletic career!
The first session I enjoy giving them a tour of our facility, and get to know them on a personal level. I like to go over their goals and what they are looking to accomplish because everyone is different. Depending on thier skill set we start working on achiving their goals. For striking students I like to do a light mitt session and get a good sweat in. For BJJ students, I go over the fundamentals first and see where my student is at.
I have an associates degree in business administrations. I have been training and learning about Martial Arts for over 8 years consistantly. I have over 25 MMA fights and have cornered over 30 other fights and counting. I have been teaching a beginner muay-thai class for over 5 years at Gracie Tampa South. Coaching the Amatuer Fight Team for over a year, working with the fight team for several. I am also a Brown Belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, and have won many bjj matches and tournaments.
I got started coaching in 2012 because I was spedning all my time at the gym training anyways. I started teaching a beginner striking class. then moved on to eventually running the amatuer fight team. The past 6+ yeas teaching have been great I really enjoy working with students.
Make sure your treacher is experianced in what you are looking for. Alot of instructors dont practice what they preach. If you want to learn how to fight and your instructor has never been in a fight, how do they know if it will work?
