Since 2000, our award winning programs have included separate classes for children, for adults and family programs that allow parents to train with their children!

Jing Ying has been at its current location in Arnold since 2000 and is the most award winning program around. For multiple years it has won: the Capital Readers Choice Award for Best Martial Arts; the Best of Annapolis award for Best Martial Arts and for Best Overall Fitness Class; the Best of Severna Park award for Best Martial Arts and Best Children's Activity; the Gazette Readers Choice Award for Best Martial Arts, and the Best of the Bay Award for Best Martial Arts.
I am a passionate student of Kung Fu and Tai Chi and love to share my experience with others.
1973-81 - Collegiate style wrestler
1976 - First teaching job (as gymnastics instructor)
1987 - Began studying Tian Shan Pai kung fu with Tayari Casel at Dennis Brown ShaoLin Wushu and later trained with Grandmaster Willy Lin and participated in a baishi ceremony to formally become his disciple and a third generation lineage holder of the TSP system.
Also studied Chen Style Tai Chi with Grandmaster Chen ZhengLei and participated in a baishi ceremony to formally become his disciple and a 12th generation lineage holder of Chen Family Taijiquan.
Has trained with Willy Lin, Chen ZhengLei, Chen XiaoWang, Chen XiaoXing, Zhu TianCai, Wang HaiJun and other top master from around the world.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Determine goals of training, determine starting point (physical condition. past experience), then decide how to continue. Usually focus on basic conditioning and skills initially.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Private lessons are $75 per hour, $40 per half-hour. Monthly memberships are also available.
