Instead of just making my clients punch a heavy bag for "9 rounds", I actually teach you pure boxing technique that would be good in the ring or on the streets in self defense. We go through offense, defense, footwork, agility drills, core work, and everything else that is fundamental to the sport of boxing.
I enjoy seeing my students and clients reach their fitness goals and build self confidence. I am a coach and a teacher by nature so my success is attached to my students' achievements.
Working with Josh was AMAZING! What I thought was a punch truly was not in the sport of boxing (I left my front wide open which could have had me knocked out in a real fight). I learned real defense techniques and how to throw the proper punches! Beyond technique, my conditioning has increased tremendously. I was unable to jump rope for more than a few seconds to almost 3 whole minutes now. Running is also a breeze. I can even see lines in my abs now (never ever had I saw this before boxing training). This is the best full body workout I have ever done; working with Josh will have you so inspired and your body will never stop thanking you!!!
Step 1: When working with a new client you have to first access the situation. Is the client a beginner? Is the client advanced?
Step 2: Meet the client at their current level of ability.
Step 3: Reinforce the fundamentals of boxing to the client.
Step 4: Step up the intensity and difficulty levels for the client in order to continue progression.
