About

Many people looking for a self-defense program either look to traditional martial arts or sports fighting, however both categories are not suited for real self-defense in today's world. Today's reality is that you will be attacked by weapons and/or multiple attackers.

Sports fighting and traditional martial arts do not teach weapons defense, they don't have to. In addition, both disciplines take anywhere from 3-5 years to get to a proficient level. Reality-Based Defense can be learned within several months.

Our program teaches Reality-Based defense and we train students in three phases, they are: Pre-conflict Phase (that is learning awareness, how to judge the pre-indicators of an attack and avoidance), The Conflict Phase: how to nullify and attack and escape to safety, and The Post Conflict Phase, that is how to do simple triage, what to say to the police and in court.

We teach defensive tactics from passive to violent attacks against unarmed and armed attacks. We incorporate scenario based and adrenaline stress training

Hi, I' WR Mann and I run a self defense program called Defense Science.

We have taught this program for over 30 years in the Americas, Asia, Europe, and Africa to military, police, civilians and kids. A number of our students have escaped from attacks that could have been serious.

In NYC we teach small classes on West 26th St. The first lesson is no charge.
