My work ethic is second to none. I won't tell you to do something unless I'm right there doing it with you. With me, you get the full session. I'm very challenging and demanding and expect the best out of you. I don't expect at least not at first for my clients to do all that i ask of them, but I do expect for them to try 100%. Together we will accomplish your fitness and professional goals.
I enjoy the competitive nature, the discipline, the hard work and most importantly the transformation that people experience via sports. I enjoy teaching as well as learning from my students. I like the fact that I can introduce other sports to the mix in order to be more well rounded as an athlete.
I’ve worked with 5 trainers and Johnny has by far been the best and I have the best success with him. He teaches all aspects of boxing and explains not only what to do but why so that it helps make sense of the science. He incorporates a far higher degree of footwork than most trainers which has really helped take my skill set to a new level. I’d recommend him to anyone.
I started boxing with another trainer before i met johnny. I was learning all the wrong techniques and paying a ton more. This trainer actually took the fun out of boxing with his lack of effort and advancement. I was introduced to johnny through a friend and have been going back ever since. He not only teaches you the correct way how to throw punches but also when to use them most effectively. This is great but you cant throw punches unless you can move. His main focus is footwork; balance,offense and defense. This is the key to boxing and he is the trainer you want.
Great and very detailed training involved, very fun and educational. I learned alot during the training sessions and Johnny is by far the best and most motivational trainers I've come across. Very knowledgeable and to the point, highly recommend.
When I signed up for CGR I was looking for a good way to get in shape and also learn a thing or two, Johnny did not disappoint, every day we trained I was drenched in sweat from the different workouts. Whether it was the plyometric style workouts or boxing technique, I was always being challenged physically. I highly recommend this to anyone who’s either trying to get in shape or wants to learn how to box
I am a firm believer that by developing a good sense of fitness level, muscle endurance will facilitate the learning process of the training in question. Our legs are the foundations that will keep us standing when we feel like we can't no longer go. With that been said, develpoing your legs and cardiovascular activity are my priorities.

The way you move will facilitate other movements and make you look more fluent without giving away your strategy. The first thing we will learn is the muscle mechanics and teaching you how different moves can be utilize to enhance your tactics.
I've been sports my whole life. I grew up playing baseball, football, soccer and basketball. I played three years varsity basketball and one year Junior Varsity baseball. Upon completion of High School despite various scholarships I chose to join the Unite States Marines instead. In the Marines I played for the basketball team.
As a boxer I had 17 amateur fights in which I was 17-0. I was offered a pro fight, but due to injuries sustained in the service I chose to quick the sport. I am licensed coach and I also have a degree in exercise science.
