About this pro

My service stands out because I have been instructed(and currently still being coached under-Renzo Gracie,John Danaher,Phil Nurse, Garry St Leger etc) in martial arts from high level instructors from Olympic medalist and competitors from judo to boxing and train with the greatest minds that have won ufc titles and defended them. Working with the greatest minds in martial arts has influenced me early on to take an intelligent approach to learning these combative movements that the average person can learn wether for self defense or just simply for excersise, and also for students who want to compete at a high level. I for certain can say and prove that I have in depth knowledge of various martial arts in boxing, muay thai, judo, and Brazilian jiu jitsu (im a purple belt under John Danaher/Renzo Gracie- google) my MMA record is 2-0 (finished my opponent in 90 seconds -youtube "Manny Vera Triton Fights") my BJJ submission grappling record is 20-2 all wins I have won by submission against higher level opponents. intelligence is Key and that for sure I can pass on.

I love what I do, martial arts has been apart of my life since the age of 8 and ive been training every single day(im 26 now). What I love the most is passing on the knowledge that ive gained to others who either have experience and have been misgided or someone who has interest in becoming a student of the game. Martial arts as a whole helps me with problem solving in my own personal life and has helped me become the confident person I am and has helped me to always stay true to my main goal in life and that is to be and maintain being a good person that serves humanity.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?

A typical process for working with a new student is SAFETY FIRST! making sure me and my client both understand their physical and mental limitations and planning out how I can assist them with their personal  goals along side creating a balanced program for them to increase those limitations.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I am a Purple Belt under John Danher ( George St Pierres Grappling Coach- Gsp is a 2 Time World Champion in 2 different wieght classes in the UFC and a training partner of mine along with Chris Weidman ex ufc champion who knocked out out Anderson Silva) ive been a student of MUay Thai/Kick Boxing under Ajarn Phil Nurse for 9+ years I have been grappling competivley for 5+ years and have been a student since 16 at the Renzo Gracie Academy. I have aslo been coached by Robert Pagan who has colectively coached 3 athletes to win 12 golden glove titles here in Nyc. I am 1-0 in mma with a 90 second finish on a more "experienced opponent" and 20-2 in bjj nogi submisson grappling with all wins by sumbisson (i have videos ;)

Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.

Pricing is based on the individuals goals and depends on what they want to accomplish and learn.

How did you get started teaching?

I started teaching my 2 younger sons in boxing and grappling starting them at age 2 and always understood that if you cant brake something down and teach a kid then you dont really know what youre talking about and I started teaching when higher belts started to approach me about techniques and that says a lot coming from The Renzo Gracie Academy with a ton of affialites throughtout the world, thats when i reconized I have the ability to teach and pass on this knowledge.

What types of students have you worked with?

Ive worked with Young kids, lawyers, doctors, the ederly and athletes from all over the world and currently have NYPD officers who I closely work with

Describe a recent event you are fond of.

A recent event that I am fond of was submitting a grappling competitor with ease who is a BlackBelt (Seph Smith) and has sold hundreds of dvds based on his 50/50gaurd which is the same position I submitted him in after being told by my corner not to engage in that position due to his level of intelligence there, I wanted to prove to myself and the people witnessing that my I.Q for grappling is High even under pressure( submitted him in 3 min).

What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?

The Best advice I can give is make sure the instruction you are recieving is based around Safety first and look up and do your research on the instructor you look to hire based on experience level, who have they worked with? and do they have proof about their training? There are a lot of people out there who are just looking to take your money by showing you something they learned on youtube and havent actaully have been able to apply those techniques against a resisiting opponent in the training room or in competiton.

What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?

Students should have asked themselves what are their personal goals? short term and long term, why do they want to accomplish these goals? and ask themselves how dedicated will they be in persuit of bettering themselves.
