Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
We like to have you visit the studio to talk about your goals, see what we have to offer and try a personal training session.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
All of our trainers have an exercise related degree (this is not true at many other gyms). We collectively have a variety of certifications including: certified strength and conditioning specialist, personal trainer, Parkinson's Delay the disease specialist and yoga instructor from prestigious organizations such as the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) and American College of Sports Medecine. Don't forget we can also help you with your nutrition and meal planning and have 3 wellness coaches on staff.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Sessions start at $30 each depending on the package purchased. There are two types of personal training packages. The first option is a 12 month programs where clients make a monthly payment depending on how many times they would like to come each week. The second option is to buy small chunks of sessions. This costs a few more dollars per session, but entails less commitment. We offer smaller packages starting at 10 sessions that clients can use at their discretion.
What types of students have you worked with?
We work with all different types of people ranging from 8-80 years old! We can help you whether your looking to get started and learn about working out or already in good shape, looking to take things to the next level.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Look for a trainer that has: a relevant education, experience and certification. Be careful, there are a lot of hacks out there. Just because someone appears in good shape, doesn't mean they have the knowledge, skills and expertise to help you be in good shape.
For help with nutrition look for a registered dietitian nutritionist. This gaurantees they have a at least a bachelor of science degree in nutrition and dietetics, have completed a 1200 internship and passed a national board exam.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
- What are your goals and are they realistic given your busy life?
- What is your budget?
- Are you truly ready to do what it takes to accomplish your goals?
- Have you budgeted the time and energy to exercise and prepare more nutritious meals?
