Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
New personal training clients are asked to state their exercise and fitness goals. Next, the trainer will take the client through an assessment process to "test" their strenghts and weaknesses by actually performing certain exercises: squats, lunges, bi-cep curls, tri-cep curls, body weight exercises, a cardio step-test, and more. The next session will be tailored and designed based on the assessment session. And then the work toward, better strength, or weight loss, or more stamina and energy begins!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have 16 years of personal and professional fitness experience. So, I have worked with many shapes and sizes of both men and women.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.

How did you get started teaching?
I am a success story who was at one time 50 pounds overweight with high cholesterol and borderline high blood pressure. After discovering the benefits of hiring a personal trainer to customize exercises for me and recommend a steady fitness and healthy eating schedule, not only did I lose weight, my physical strength and overall well-being improved. In addition to keeping my unhealthy weight off, I was so inspired by my personal training and exercise experiences; I became a Personal Trainer, a Spinning instructor, and a Group exercise instructor! Now I help others get healthier and maintain a healthy lifestyle.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with clients that range in age from 35 to 75! Some were slightly overweight to morbidly obese. Some were relatively fit and exercised a little and some were not fit at all and rarely to never exercised. Some have or have had injuries that prevents them from doing certain exercises. However, I am profiecient in working around these injuries with the help of their physical therapist or medical doctor.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I hosted a healthy eating and nutrition workshop at my Studio. A registered dietician gave a 15-20 minute presentation and then the audience engaged in a lively Q & A session. The entire event was an eriching hour of great information.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
My advice to someone looking to hire me would be to come to my Studio to meet and talk with me and to take a look around the facility. We use exercise equipment manufactured by LifeFitness, the global leader in commercial fitness, and have the newest Mad Dogg Athletics Spinning® bikes from the world leader and innovator of commercial indoor cycling.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
The number one question a client should think through is, what do you want to gain from hiring a personal trainer? Other questions to think through include: are you looking to get stronger overall? Is weight loss your ultimate goal? Do you want more energy? Do you want to sleep better? Do you want to have fun in addition to working out? Do you want to meet others with your same or similar exercise and fitness interests?
