Kool Tan Wellness
About
Certified through NASM since 1998.
BS kinesiology.
NASM CES (corrective exercise specialist).
I take a holistic balanced approach to working with my clients. We first look at the overall integrity of the body and work to create balance and correct compensatory patterns.
I love the idea and realization that our bodies just like our lives require balance and the attention that makes that possible. Freeing people of the physical limitations that keep them from living their best life is remarkably satisfying.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
We start with a consultation. In that session we follow a general fitness PAR-Q (physical activity readiness questionnaire). I'll ask questions about past diets current diet etc. From there I'll ask about supplements, meds, injuries and past and current medical conditions. This time allows me to better understand what your goals and challenges are. This also allows you to determine if I am a good fit for you. After that session we schedule a complimentary workout to begin addressing your issues and goals. This gives us both a good opportunity to determine if we'll make a good team.

Describe a recent event you are fond of.
Recently saw my son graduate Air Force BMT as an honor grad. We built him up mentally and physically so that when he went in to basic he was knocking out 44 push-ups in 30 seconds. It's no wonder he achieved Honor Graduate.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Check their certifications! Pretty bodies are one thing but education trumps genetics every time.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Back ground! Have they been where you are at?
