We offer individualized and specialized personal training. My wife and I personally get to know you and your specific needs as a client first to put you with who we believe is the best trainer for your goals, not the other way around. We both have over two years of experience as full-time trainers and carry diverse athletic and fitness backgrounds. We also both carry multiple specialty certifications on top of our NASM CPT's and Nutrition certifications. Carol specializes in water sports and pre and post natal. John specializes in field sports, strength and conditioning, and functional aging.

I am turning 65 this month and I have never been particularly fit. But I am stronger than I have ever been In my life. I am doing push ups and doing dead lifts with 40 pd weights. How did you get started teaching?

Both of us were multiple sports athletes through high school and college. We got started in fitness through the Moorpark College Fitness Specialist program and have been training ever since!


What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?

Training comes with its risks. To protect yourself you need to make sure whoever you hire is certified by a credible association, insured, and carries a current business license.

Most importantly though they need to have passion for helping others and have the appropriate background and experience to ensure that you achieve your goals!


What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?

We recommend having some concrete short term and long term goals written down before contacting us. It will help us to create the best plan of action for you!
