Ive been working with Lou for a couple of years now and hes been the best trainer Ive worked with. When we first started out, he asked me a couple of questions about my history with health and exercise, and then worked on getting a baseline to see what needs to be worked so he knows how to create a program best suited for me. He then tailored my workout routine and program so that I can be set on the path for success. I had a lot of bad posture due to work and having a sedentary lifestyle, but with his guidance, Ive been making great headway into improving myself. Hes been a pleasant trainer to work with and if I had questions, he was there to help every step of the way. I would definitely recommend him as a trainer.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
EVALUATE, ELIMINATE ,ADD ONLY WHAT IS NEEDED.
Is the cornerstone to FFTS and the way we do Fitness.
Would you go on a journey say a drive of 50 miles ,with winding roads sharp, turns and speeds up to 75 mile phr witholut first assessing your vehicle ? And say while assessing your vehicle you find you have a bent axel , flat tire , worn out transmission , bad fuel system , or possibly other issues , wouldn't you want toget them fixed before you take that journey ? Now once your vehicle is fixed it will get better mileage , be able to take corners , speed up and slow down when you need it to and ultimatley get to your destination . Your body is no diffrent than your car if it dosen't move well it will get damged . worn out and eventually burn out .
Unfortunately with most Gyms and Systems the Evaluation Proccess either treated as a formality to prevent lawsuits , used as a selling tool to lock you into an expensive program package after they use it to scare you , or the people doing it really arent qualified to teach movement lend alone test it as we see with many Cross Fit boxes . Evaluation of your Lifestyle , current health status as well as any heriditory diseases is only the begining of how we build your program , the MOVEMENT SCREEN otherwise known as FMS along with your weekly food tracker are the other crucial parts to building a succesful program for you that will lead us to not only what needs to be improved but also what needs to be elimionated either in your lifestyle , weekly diet , or Current movement patterns before we can start loading your body up and start reaching those big goals you have been striving to obtain but never understood what was holding you back .
Every client both New and current gets a Movement assement to make sure they are doing exercises that are the right fit for them and don't pose any Injury risk . We take what we have learned from all the Assesments build a 6-8 week program and start Eliminating what has held you back . Than once everything is working right we start Adding Only What is Needed , whether its weights , speed , changing direction , Challenging your endurance , ballistic movement etc. Too many systems have the more is better mentality , you see this with BOx Gyms ,Cross Fit and other systems that burn people out and injure them . Instead at FFTs we believe Less is Best . Why do 5-6 exercises for your legs , chest , arms or core when 3 or less of the right exercises can get the job done right ?.
With Functionally Fit Training you are a partner to your own program , we encourage feedback during your program so that neither of us are wasting time and effort doing something that isn't working for you. FFTS is based on the latest updated Movement Science and Functional Fitness training not the Muscle And Fiction you see in most commerical gyms , magazines or infomercials .

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have Associates in Science with a major In Exercise Science , I have held certifications from & WORLD INSTRUCTOR TRAINING SCHOOLS , NASM as a Fitness trainer and currently FMS certified By Gray Cook . I have been attending PERFORM BETTER , and EXERCISE ETC &FUNCTIONAL FITNESS TRAINING seminars for the past 20 years to stay up to date in the latest industry standards . I have taken courses on EXERCISE AND DIABETES, STRENGTH AND CONDITIOINING FOR SENIORS, EXERCISE AND OSTEOPOROSIS, NEW DIRECTIONS IN CARDIO TRAINING, BEST BOOT CAMP DRILLS,COMPREHENSIVE RECOVERY STRATEGIES,EXERCISE AFTER KNEE & HIP REPLACEMENT, WHEN GOOD KNEES GO BAD ,CORE TRAINING,FUNCTIONAL TRAINING AND INJURY PREVENTION And currently taking a course from JC Sanatannas Institute OF Human Performance . For over 20 years I have been CPR AED FIRST AID certified.

FUNCTIONALLY FIT TRAINING SYSTEMS offers 3 tiers of service all depending on what you need and what you feel you can comfortably afford.
Level 1 Offers either Private or Semi Private IN PERSON ON SITE TRAINING, You pay much more but you get much more with actual face to face contact and tactile as well as verbal and visual directions and encouragement. I meet clients at their homes ,jobs, local community center or parks.
Level 2 Offers Online Fitness coaching, where just like inperson you make an appointment to meet ,the only diffrence is we meet virtually instead of in person . This cost less than in person does .
Level 3 offers you written personalized 6- week programs to follow to your goals at the low price of $190. I recommend Level 3 for those with at least some exercise experiance not for beginners .
Every Client recieves a written Color coded Program regardless of which level they chose.
How did you get started teaching?
Having been born with a handicap , I have always been interested in how I could improve my body and how it functions. It began first through Martial Arts, natural medicine leading me to Exercise Science.The more I learned how to improve Movement function and health,th more I could see what others were missing. Too many people have been conned into putting thier faith in Our lack of Healthcare sytem Gyms and Fit Frauds that only benefits from depoendence and subserience to failed outdated systems . Its My Goal to liberate people to better healthier lives instead of ending up as Lack of healthcare victims we see in those tv adds for depends , electric scooters , oxygen tanks , walkers and stand up tubs . We don't see half the health issues in lndigenous cultures that we have in the USA because they make money off our dsabiilities. LETS END THIS !!

In my Experiance as a Fitness Pro , I have trained everyone from Athlete to amatuer , clients with MS, Diabetes, Fibromyalgia, knee, hip replacement , shoulder, back surgery, COPD, Osteoporosis, Ampute, cerabal palsy and Autism. Age 8 to 80. Everyone Needs Functional Fitness
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Ask what forms of Education in this field they have ? How long they have been doing it ?
Do they keep up with the Lattest science of Functional Training and Health ?( Yearly Seminars , Books , Journals , stay in touch with their mentors )
What is their proven System for getting results for their clients ?
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
What type of commitment they are willing to make to obtain the lifestyle changes they desire ? Time, Money & Effort .
