How did you get started teaching?
My teaching began in martial arts. As a brown belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (BJJ) I taught womens self defense and beginners BJJ classes. With a desire to help women achieve their overall fitness goals, I earned my NASM personal training certification and began my personal training career.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with women of various ages and fitness levels.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
My advice is to work with a trainer/coach that understands your goals, objectives, and motivation. I recommend meeting your trainer/coach either in person or virtually to see if you would enjoy working together.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Students should ask a trainer/coach about their background, style, programming and availability.
