I understand what it feels like to struggle with being over weight. I fell into an all too common cycle that happens to people. I also was challenegdwith chronic knee and low back pain for almost twenty years.
It was the right fitness program and the right coaching that changed my life. I was able to release 30 lbs of body fat and find relief from my pain and I have dedicated my life to helping others do the same. It begins with having the right mindset. Your body will go where your mind takes it, so get your brain wired for success and the rest is just tasks.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
The fitness assessment lays the foundation of the work that follows. In addition to a physical movement screen, I gather information about the client's past experiences and medical history. Together we sit down and establish clear and realistic goals.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
With a degree in Secondary Education, I taught high school which gave me a foundational understanding of how to convey information in the form of lessons. I use this approach to help people grow from their current state to their desired state of health. I believe that a great trainer teaches their clients what they need to know so that they can take over and manage their health and fitness on their own.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
My initial program is three months in duration. Clients can sign up for two or three days per week. There is a slight price reduction per session for training more frequently. After the three months is up, clients can stay on as month-to-month members. We do not offer any long term contracts. Payment is made with a credit card that we hold securely in an encrypted format.
How did you get started teaching?
I went through a mini life-crisis and found myself in failing health. I decided that I no longer wanted to be or feel this way and once and for all took full responsibility for my bad habits. The outcome surprised even me, and I set out to help other people do the same. I have a powerful message that comes out of my own mess!
What types of students have you worked with?
Over the last twenty years, all types. But the best fit for me now is Gen Xers and Baby Boomers. I can relate to them, their lives, and how challenging it can be to make the time for living a healthy life. Where do you start? It can be quite overwhelming.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I helped a 75-year-old client who had not played gold in over five years get back on the golf course and enjoy this game he loves so much. It took six months of diligence to get his body to be more mobile and stable. We also worked on flexibility, balance, and strength. I didn't know he went to play golf until he came into my studio on a Monday morning and hugged me. He thanked me over and over again and said, Larry, you changed my life." I was pretty overwhelmed too. All I could say was, " Thank you, but you have changed my life too!”
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Ask a lot of questions! Find out what their specialty is and ask to speak to a couple of their clients, especially those who have had similar challenges. Don't get roped into a long term contract! Life can turn on a dime and you want to make sure you have an exit strategy if needed. Don't work with a personal trainer unless you are 100% committed to changing your health. No one is going to take you by the hand and do the work for you. You have to show up in your own life every day, so make every day great.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Am I committed to seeing this through?
