Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
It all depends on your goals.
If you want to lose weight, we will be doing work outside.
If we work outside, first we will do basic warmup and stretches for 20min. Then we will do intense cardio for 30min. Depending on your performance, I will write out a workout plan for three weeks.
If you want to gain muscle mass, we will be doing work in the weight room. First off, we will do rotator cuff exercise to warmup the shoulder muscles. I would like to do two sessions per week, one lower body and one upper body. If it is a lower body day, we start off with squats and lunges and strictly focus on the form. If it is a upper body day we start with pull ups and push ups and go onto the barbell & dumbbell work. Depending on your age, experience, form, and performance I will plan out a workout plan for 6 weeks.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I learned from many advanced people in the fitness field, from professional athletes to IFBB pros, powerlifters. I was a private trainer for 6 months in Japan.
