Driven by a love for fitness and a passion to help others, I furthered my studies past obtaining a Ba: physical activity and sports performance ; while continuing my education with ISSA and receiving three certifications. What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Discuss goals, lifestyle , training frequency. Then go through an evaluation for flexibility and mobility.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a bachelors from Kent State University and 3 certification from ISSA .
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I offer 30 minute and hours sessions
prices vary depending upon training frequency.
How did you get started teaching?
I started off by shadowing various trainers that worked at privately owned and franchise gyms.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with all types of students, from athletes to general fitness. I also have worked with clients that have torn miniscus ,infused lumbar and degenerative disc just to name a few limitations. There's no age that is to young or to old that I have not worked with.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Ask all the questions you would like, my job is to make you feel confident and comfortable with me being your trainer.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Setting smart goals
specific - what is you me bottom line what are you trying to accomplish!
managable - organization is key are you able to comment to the plan and be able to stay on track with the format of the program
action- are you able to hold your self accountable will your actions match what you are trying to accomplish
realistic - this is realistic yes or no
time frame - having a set date will keep you accountable. idle time is one reason why people do not meet their desired goal.
