Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Step 1 - the new student will fill out a questionnaire so I can find out more information about what they need to ensure we are a good fit for one another.
Step 2 - we set up a free trial so we can meet in person and that will give me a chance to assess the students abilities.
Step 3 - I design a customized workout program & diet for the student
step 4 - we start training and making progress.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am been in the fitness industry since 1997. I have had my own business and been a full-time trainer since 2008. My education is in helping clients lose fat, build muscle and feel better.

How did you get started teaching?
As a former athlete, I learned my way around the weight room early and I always had people asking me what to do to get in shape. I was offered a job in the college weight room back in 1997 and the rest is history.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with people as young as 10 and as old as 75. The bulk of my clients come to me for fat loss but I have a few that need to hold muscle and some older clients who just want to feel better.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I had a client that has a never had a serious boyfriend prior to us working together. I helped her lose 100 pounds and a guy she was fond of at her job actually began to notice her. Fast forward to today and they are married with 2 kids.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Check references of those that they have worked with.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
The most important question is what their goals are and when they want to accomplish them by. You also want to think about are you really ready to make a commitment to a trainer as we don’t have magic wands, you will still need to put in the work.
