Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
You don't have to be intimidated! We love to teach new students. All exercises can be modified to help you ease into our training programs. We also cover a lot of basics in our classes and most classes are non-contact or semi-contact, except for our Sparring/Ringwork Classes.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Mr Papile is the owner of Rob's Fight Club. He started training at age 9, has won hundreds of awards and championships in Karate, was a full-contact Boxer/Kickboxer, a State TKD Fighting Champion, and a Tough Man Champion.
Rob is also a USA Boxing Coach and a Personal Trainer.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Prices vary depending on the program. We offer both Private and Semi-Private instruction. Ask about a FREE trial class or schedule one through our website.
How did you get started teaching?
I've always enjoyed teaching. I opened my Martial Arts/Boxing gym when I was 19.
What types of students have you worked with?
Mr. Papile has trained thousands of students of all ages and levels in Karate, Boxing, Kickboxing, Fitness and Self-Defense.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
I believe it's important to work with a knowledgeable instuctor that teaches realistic technique. You should feel comfortable with your instructor and be actually learning skills. Most "kickboxing" classes are taught by aerobic instructors that are not very knowledgable in actual kickboxing technique and improper form can cause injuries. There is much more value in learning a skill/sport, while getting in great shape at the same time. We understand that you want to learn the right way and still make it to work tomorrow!
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
You should consider your committment level. There are too many people who "Try" things and never actually stick with a good program to reach their goals. If you committ to your training you will love the new person that you become. Rob's Fight Club is not here to train pro fighters. We're here to help you learn in a comfortable environment while you get in awesome shape and have fun.
