12 weeks is typically the minimum amount of time I will work with a client. I have several packages that vary depending on your needs and goals. Once payment is received, your program will be available to you within one week, at which time, your training period will begin.
How did you get started teaching?
I had my first experience with coaching as a teenager. I practiced Shotokan Karate/Shorinji Kempo since I was 5 and eventually taught the beginner's class at my Dojo. After high school, I moved to Toronto to study under my uncle who is also a personal trainer. While shadowing my uncle, I worked on my first certification which I eventually recieved in 2014. Since then, I have continued to perfect my craft to become a master of training related principles that involve improving combat sports performance, body recomposition, fat loss, and building a body that will protect you from injury while looking its absolute best.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with many clients who were looking to increase their strength and increase their body composition. I also work with some athletes, including gymnastics and fencing. Much of my work includes mobility and injury prevention and rehabilitation.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Be completely honest with yourself and your coach with your concerns and what may be holding you back from your goal. Be prepared to hear things you may not like, and be ready to address what is holding you back from your full potential.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Be sure to have specific goals. It is helpful to use the S.M.A.R.T. acronym in order to determine what it is your needs are. Doing this before talking to a coach will help the coach identify your needs and design a program for you much faster.
