Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I have the new student fill out forms that cover some general information about their health and their goals. We go over the paperwork and discuss it more in detail.
We then design a program together that will work for them now. I want my clients to feel comfortable and confident from the moment we start working together. We modify and adjust the program as my client gets fitter and stronger.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have 20+ years of experience as a certified personal trainer. I also have a certification for post-rehab.
I have worked with clients from 13 years old to 91 years old.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I charge by the length of the session. I offer 30, 45, and 60 minute sessions.
If I am traveling to you, I have an additional travel fee for my time.
I offer a 5% discount when you purchase 5 sessions and a 10% discount when you purchase 10 sessions.
How did you get started teaching?
I enjoyed seeing myself learning how to get fit and strong and wanted to share my passion with others.
What types of students have you worked with?

I have worked with clients from 13 years old to 91 years old.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I had a mom's class and all of the moms decided to train for a 5k. It was a lot of fun training them for that and having each one cross the finish line!
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Pick someone who makes you feel good about where you are now and the goals you want to accomplish. A supportive and encouraging trainer makes the journey so much sweeter!
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Think about several short term goals that you know you can reach without too much effort. Then think about several long term goals that will recover some change and effort.
Discuss both with your trainer and see what you can do together to make them do-able.
Reaching both short term and long term goals keeps you motivated to keep going!
