I’ve been working for a year and she made me a stronger, healthier version of myself. Everyday we’re set to meet, she shows up with a ton of energy and ready to work. She’s always in a great mood and always has a detailed plan for the session. She is incredibly insightful with her knowledge of how the body works, what muscles to work and when and how to reach a designated goal. I ran a half marathon in October 2016 and Carmen came to the finish line to cheer me on and congratulate me which meant the world. I would strongly encourage anyone who’s trying to get into shape, has a specific goal or just wants a fun partner to work out with, to work with Carmen.

SHE IS THE ONE! I trained with Carmen for months. If you are looking to make true changes and achieve concrete goals in partnership with a trainer, she MUST be your choice. After only a short time training with Carmen, I was finishing 5ks in my time target. Carmen was literally with me every step of the way. Her energy is wonderful. She will lift you and focus you.

Carmen is the best! Her assessment is very thorough and she created an 8 week program that was perfect for me at my “beginner” level. I highly recommend her!

Started running on my middle school track and field team at 13 years old and into high school. Never stopped running and working out. Moved to NYC and became a competitive runner and then a personal trainer.

Obese/weight loss/long distance runners

Describe a recent event you are fond of.

My recent project was to get my client to recover from a half marathon faster than she has done before on her own. She trained 3 months with me for the race and recovered in four days, but felt great right after her race. She felt like she could go on a easy run literally a day or two later. I advised her not too. It was a pivotal moment in her athleticism. Before me it took her 3-4 weeks to recover.

What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?

Why is this trainer a good fit? Is he/she knowledgeable about my health concerns and/or goals?

What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?

Why are they considering this? Why now?
