FAQs

What is your typical process for working with a new student?

At 2 Tone Boxing Club, when a new student or member joins us, we start by getting to know them a bit better.  We find out what motivates them and what kind of goals they have for themselves and their workouts.

With this, we can build a customized program to help you reach your goal and accomplish what is important to you.  Based on your goal, we determine what type of training you will be doing, frequency, duration, etc.  We train someone who is trying to gain strength much different from someone who is trying to lose weight or develop flexibility.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

All of our trainers at 2 Tone Boxing Club have the highest certifications in the industry and most have attended and are certified through NPTI.  All have CPR/AED certifications and nationally accredited personal training certifications.

Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.

We have a wide range of pricing options meant to fit any budget.  We also offer a FREE first class to try any one of the classes we offer (boxing, kickboxing, yoga box, boot camp) or a FREE 1 on 1 fitness assessment for all those interested in personal training.

How did you get started teaching?

2 Tone Boxing Club opened in October of 2016 with the goal of helping people get in the best shape of their lives!

What types of students have you worked with?

The members and clients of 2 Tone Boxing Club are of a wide variety.  We train everyone from professional athletes to people in their 80s and 90s just trying to stay active and moving.  Since we customize every workout plan, we are able to work with any demographic or niche.  We offer something for every fitness level, every age, and every type of student.

What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?

If you are looking to hire a teacher or trainer to help you reach your fitness goals, it is first important to meet with them and ask a lot of questions.  Make sure you are a good fit before committing to anything.  This is why we offer a first class free or a free fitness assessment so we can get to know you and make sure we are the right fit for you!  If we are not, we usually know where to send you.

It is important that any teacher or trainer listens to you and is there to serve you.  Make sure your plan is customized and not just a cookie cutter workout they give to anyone who walks in the door.

What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?

A good question to ask yourself before starting any exercise program, is "why"?  Why do you want to do this?  What are your goals?  What do you expect to accomplish?  Then talk to your teacher or trainer about how to reach those goals, being realistic, setting a time frame for different benchmarks, etc.
