Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
When I start working with a new client I like to get to know what their fitness goals are; what they would like to achieve and what they know/like about training. I give them an introduction to my background and explain how I train my clients. The workout process I prepare is challenging but brings results.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Currently I'm an NPTI student, graduating at the top of my class. I've been training in mixed martial arts since I was 7 years old. I attended George Foreman Boxing Gym and was a part of the U.S. Olympic Karate team. Mixed martial arts and self-defense has always been a part of my life. I'm a certified TRX trainer and group fitness instructor. I also, obtained a green belt in the MCMAP progam in the USMC.
How did you get started teaching?
Personal training and mixed martial arts has always been a part of my life, I've been training since I was 7 years old.
What types of students have you worked with?
I've worked with all types of fitness levels from children to adults. Clients who have an interest in defending themselves and learning self defense. I've also worked with children that don't want to be bullied anymore.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
A project I am fond of is training children , men and women how to defend themselves. Teaching them that there is a way to be confident and defend yourself against bullies. I've been working on this project for years and clients that work with me typically start gaining confidence within a few sessions.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
