About
I am a NASM certified Personal Trainer and Fitness Nutrition Specialist with a B.S. in Physical Education. I also have certifications in "(PES) Performance Enhancement Specialist, Core Stabilization", MMA, and kickboxing through NASM and AFAA. I am an ex-college athlete; and I have been training and coaching for the past 30 years, so I know what it takes to get you in shape. I have trained all ability levels from the basic beginner to college athletes to the elderly population, and take good care of each client no matter their level. I start each client out with muscle compensation and cardiovascular fitness tests to see what level each client is at and write a personalized program from there. I change the programs up every 4-6 weeks so your body gains strength and never gets stagnant! Each client also gets as much nutritional advice as they would like!
I have always had a passion for fitness and as a reslult have lived it out my entire life. It is my gift, and I love to use that gift to help others make lifestyle changes that accomplish their goals! I get fueled by helping others! I give 100% whether it is for my conditioning or yours and as a result, I see this energy transfer to my clients to stay on track and get results with a carefully designed program taylored to meet their needs and desires. I take good care of each client I work with!

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Client fills out health information so I can understand the basic health of each individual and keep them safe. Then I analyze the clients muscle compensation and cardiovascular fitness level. I get general eating habits and nutritional awareness of each client as well as taking body fat score if so desired by the client. With all that information, I then write a personalized fitness and nutritional program with thier goals and current health in mind. I will change this program every 4-8 weeks depending on clients progress, to ensure continual gains.

MMA - Mixed Martial Arts from NASM
Kickboxing - from AFAA
Core Stabilization - from NASM
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
$50/session - I charge per session as opposed to per hour because I believe that each client needs individual attention, and that may require a little less time or more time depending upon needs of the individual (rest, questions, correcting movements....) I don't like to treat my clients as simply customers paying for an hour, but instead, as indivdiuals who have real needs and desires to make real changes and therefore, want to give the the time it takes to help them acheive those goals.
How did you get started teaching?
I actually started as early as a teen when people would ask me to help them get into shape or coach their athletic team. I found that this was my gift and went on to continue coaching while playing D2 soccer, and attaining my bachelors degree in Physical Education. When I began to have children, the other parents would ask me to give them advice on how to get into shape, and my personal training business took off with the God's help from that point on.
What types of students have you worked with?
Children from age 4 to High School and college athletes.
I work a lot with couples and/or Mom's and Dad's who just want their youth back as they go through child rearing years.
I also work with the aging population to help them feel a renewed youthful enegy as well as ability.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I helped two of my older clients (56 & 70) reach their goals or cycling 50 miles this past summer 2017. Next summer on to a Century!
I also have helped my client and neice who is an elite athlete in the state of Colorado to achieve more strength, endurance, speed, agility, and quickness for her alternating running events of extreme and long agonizing hill climb runs to fast 10K's. She is a podium runner most of the time, and finds the strength plans I give her to be of great help in exceeding her fitness goals!
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Find a trainer that is knowledgable, and sensitive to your needs and desires. One that will give you solid advice that will help you meet your goals and have the ability to take you there. An important, but often overlooked part of fitness is enjoyment as well! You don't want to hate what you do, so find a trainer that is willing to go outside of the box and mix it up to create more exciting workout for you, that you enjoy! The world is our playground, with endless possibilities of fitness fun! As a trainer I ascribe to this type of fitness training for myself and others!
