INTRODUCTION TO FITNESS

Introduction to fitness program focuses on the essential 6 foundational movement patterns in weightlifting: squat, hinge, lunge, push, pull, and carry. We will utilize select pieces of equipments as well as bodyweight to maximize results.

    Yoko really knows his stuff, and is a great fitness instructor. Hes always on time (seriously, hes never late for a class), and did an amazing job of designing a fitness regimen that fit my goals.
    Im in average shape, 31 years old, and a total newbie to working out at gyms. Yoko really helped me get started with free weights and kettlebells, and greatly improved my form and focus while exercising. I also have a few old sports injuries (ankle and shoulder), that Yoko was able to take into account to safely build muscle and prevent re-injury.
    Regardless if youre an established gym bro or more of a gym newbie like me, I highly recommend working with Yoko.

    I’ve trained with Cornelius several times now — for a while in 2017 and again recently to get myself out of a pandemic funk. In both instances, I set out to improve my strength and endurance, and hopefully lose a bit of fat along the way. I’ve been seeing him 2x week since May and have seen significant improvement in endurance, and I’ve lost about 12 pounds without significant lifestyle changes otherwise. He’s so great about monitoring my form and ensures his clients can meet their goals during his sessions and also at the gym on their own. He knows how to push me and incorporates high-intensity exercises like boxing among high strength-training routines, which I really appreciate. I’ve recommended him to friends and will continue to do so!

    I have been training with Cornelius for several years now. He is a fantastic trainer. He manages to squeeze a great deal of exercise into each workout routine hitting on all the key areas, including cardio. At the same time, he incorporates new exercises/machines frequently to keep it interesting. He is also very attentive to details to ensure to avoid any injury. He was always very accommodating to my frequent work travel (prior to COVID) which made it easy to train with him. I wholeheartedly recommend him to anyone regardless of the fitness level and goals as he will adjust the workouts accordingly to accommodate each person’s needs.

    I initiate the client onboarding process by clarifying their objectives and gathering essential information. I then collaborate with the client to establish achievable goals. A comprehensive movement analysis is conducted to identify any muscular weaknesses, tightness, or postural imbalances. Based on this assessment, I provide tailored recommendations to mitigate injury risk and address the client's specific areas of interest.
    Continuing education and professional development are integral to my daily practice. I am a NASM-certified personal trainer with additional certifications in boxing and group fitness instruction. My commitment to ongoing learning includes regular participation in courses, online training programs, and workshops.
    All training sessions are one hour in length, cost $75 per session, and are sold in packages only. Packages can be paid in full or in 2-3 installments. The following fitness packages are available: - Package 1: 13 sessions - Package 2: 26 sessions - Package 3: 39 sessions - Package 4: 52 sessions
