About

We are a Manhattan based husband and wife team, Latino, female, and (Marine) Veteran owned business, seriously based in health and wellness to achieve fitness goals. We specialize in unique forms of fitness not found at standard gyms or studios. Our baseline teaching rests on corrective exercise programs to balance the body and prepare for optimum training. Most of our clients have injuries, back issues, chronic health conditions that have kept them from achieving fitness goals in the past and we have been there to guide them through these obstacles to get them where they want to be. We offer a fusion of : gyrotonics, yoga, pilates, strength conditioning, steel mace, steel clubs, animal flow and mobility, boxing and martial arts, breathwork and mind-body connections, cardiovascular and high intensity training, with physical therapy and corrective techniques. We are also pre/post natal certified, and specialize in training for cancer patients, seniors, children, and competitive athletes, and sustainable weight loss programs.

In addition to our studio in Manhattan, we also have one in Putnam Valley, N, both for those living in the area, but also as a day escape for current clients, including trail running, lake swimming, cold plunge, and mobility work in the great outdoors.

We have successfully translated in house sessions to online sessions with just as much benefit and success.

Cost for sessions range from $50-$140 depending on type (live vs zoom), length, frequency, and time of day.

Two years ago, wanting to maximize my athletic potential, I went to Kathy Alcoba at Studio 57.. Kathy designed a specific program to increase my strength, flexibility and endurance, particularly for rock climbing. Not only did my climbing ability improve, but so did my overall well-being. After each workout, I noticed that I was completely exhilarated and perfectly spent too. Every athlete has pesky tweaks in their joints, and an additional benefit is the ability for these tweaks to soften and disappear over a very short time. Mine did! I was a competitive gymnast in high-school and college, studied yoga and dance, therefore I have taken my share of classes. I have had many talented coaches, teachers and trainers, Kathy Alcoba ranks among the best, if not the best, I have ever known.
